| 内容简介（中文） | 任颐（公元一八四０－一八九五年），浙江山阴人。初名台润，字小楼，后改字伯年。人物、花鸟俱佳，赋色鲜丽，形象活泼；并以长期鬻画上海，为时人目为海上派班头。 本幅作于任氏四十四岁，全画殆以劲秀之笔，画和合双仙；相传二仙即唐僧寒山、拾得。图中二人相貌一如孩童，且笑容可掬，与传说中二诗僧放荡不羁之性情极为契合，本幅为林宗毅先生捐赠。 |
| 内容简介（英文） | Jen I (style name Po-nien) studied portrait painting and excelled at figures and birds-and-flowers in the style of Ch’en Hung-shou (1599-1652). Jen’s use of color was fresh and his forms lively. Selling paintings for a living, he is regarded as the leader of the Shanghai School. Done at the age of 43 in 1883, this work employs forceful yet elegant brushwork. Jen has depicted here two T’ang Buddhist monks known to posterity as Han-shan and Shih-te. Their faces are quite childlike and their laughing expressions reveal their humorous personalities. This work was donated to the Museum by Mr. Lin Tsung-i. |
