| 内容简介（中文） | 沈周（公元一四二七－一五○九年），江苏长洲人。字启南，号石田，又称白石翁。为人宽厚有度，能诗工书，又善画，作品造型雅拙，用笔钝劲，用墨厚重，予人质朴有力，古趣盎然之感。为明四大家之首。本幅画老树高耸，树下平坡坐一高士垂钓，点叶笔墨极为老辣，对山峰石浑融，岸边横笔数抹以现水纹。由于画在小幅洒金笺扇面上，更显笔简意周，墨色酣畅。本幅选自「明人画扇集册」第一开。 |
| 内容简介（英文） | Fishing under a Shady Tree Shen Chou (1427-1509) Ming Dyasty Shen Chou (style name Ch'i-nan; sobriquets Shih-t'ien and Pai-shih-weng) was a native of Ch'ang-chou, Kiangsu. A man of broad and profound character, he was skilled at poetry and calligraphy, and especially gifted at painting. In his works, the forms have a quality of elegant naivete. He wielded the brush with force and bluntness, using rich, thick ink. His works convey a quality of forceful plainness as well as an abundantly archaic flavor. Shen Chou became known as one of the Four Great Masters of the Ming. This is a painting of a foreground scene with a lofty old tree, below which sits a scholar fishing on a level bank. The dots of leaves and brushwork are extremely sharp. The moist mountain peak and rocks on the opposite shore blend together, and several horizontal brushstrokes hugging the bank represent water ripples.
